This exhibition, which brings together more than 200 drawings and models from among the FRAC Centre’s most emblematic projects, offers a broad overview of architectural and urban experimentation, from the 1950s to now. The FRAC Centre collection encompasses projects that symbolize radical architecture from the 1960s to the very latest such work. Its extensive field of reference and its forward-looking dimension make it something of a treasure-trove of ideas about tomorrow's architecture, a place of open-ended reflection, which permanently questions and challenges architectural design procedures in ways that are both creative and critical. The FRAC Centre collection includes works by artists working in liaison with architecture and architects' projects; hence, emphasis has, from its earliest days, always been placed on the common aesthetic field likely to be shared by artists and architects.
