James Hugh Gough is a Canadian writer-illustrator based in Taipei, Taiwan. His first book, “The Great Skate” is the story of a little girl, who has her dreams of performing in an ice-skating recital dashed by the arrival of an enormous blizzard. With no way of getting to the recital through the snow, she magically embarks on an ice-skating journey from the countryside to the city, as more and more people take notice and observe her beautiful ice dance.

作者簡介：

James Hugh Gough是一位加拿大作家 - 插畫家，現居台灣台北。

James Hugh Gough在台灣的十六年間，曾擔任學校的經理，教師，作家和藝術總監。在此之前，他在加拿大多倫多的電視節目上擔任藝術總監助理。他畢業於加拿大貴湖大學 (University of Guelph)主修英國文學系。

James Hugh Gough has worked as a manager, teacher as well as writer and art director during his sixteen years in Taiwan. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant art director on television shows including, “Peter Benchley’s, Amazon” in Toronto, Canada. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Guelph.
