Mordecai Z. Dzikansky, Retired Detective First Grade, spent his 25-year police career with the NYC Police Department. A Brooklyn native, Dzikansky s career began as a uniformed patrolman. Periods in the homicide and detective squads led to him becoming lead investigator of the newly formed specialized Torah Task Force in 1993. From 2003 until 2007, Dzikansky was in Israel as the first NYPD Intelligence Div. Overseas Liaison to the Israel National Police. His intelligence gathering and immediate relay of key information back to NYC enhanced the Department s ability to prevent and recover from terrorist acts. In 2009, two of his written works were published in Countering Terrorism, National Academy of Sciences. Currently, Dzikansky lectures and consults to law enforcement and academics on global security and policing topics. This is his first book. Dzikansky resides in Israel. Robert Slater, who died in 2014, was born in NYC and grew up in South Orange, NJ. He was an honors graduate of the University of PA where he majored in political science. He received a master s of science degree in international relations from the London School of Economics. Slater worked for UPI and Time Magazine and authored 30 books, including the BusinessWeek Bestsellers, Jack Welch & the GE Way, and SOROS: The Life, Times and Trading Secrets of the World’s Greatest Investor."
