　　夢遊讓人又額外活了一次、活了一輩子。就像在另外一個世界能夠看清這個世界上的事。如死後還知道自己是活著一樣。

　　我看見別人的夢的顏色了。是一種混的黑白像墨水倒在白漆裡邊攪著轉動著。一圈黑一圈白如一桶黑白相間的漩流樣。呼吸聲又都如人至將死前被惡魔壓住的喘息樣……

　　酷熱的八月天，伏牛山脈山區的皋田小鎮，鎮民們在麥田收成後，溽暑讓夜裡熱火不退，人們開始出現夢遊症。

　　夢遊症迅速散播，每個夢遊的鎮民，在現實裡不願意吐露內心潛藏的欲望，卻一一將心事和人性的好惡在夢遊時和盤托出，表露無遺。

　　在夢遊的世界裡，整個國家機器都失靈了，人們也開始偷搶打殺；甚至夢遊中的人們以為回到明朝，追隨李自成後裔，扮起農民軍闖王起事兵變的戲碼……
