Lee Young-ju is the author of three poetry collections in Korean.She is the recipient of the Arts Council of Korea’s literature and creative writing grant and the Creativity Award Fellowship from the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture. She teaches at Myongji and Kyung Hee University and lives in Seoul, South Korea. Jae Kim is a writer from South Korea and a translator of Korean and Japanese literature. His translation and nonfiction writing have appeared in Guernica, Poets.org, Poem-a-Day, Chicago Review, Poetry Review, Action Books’ Poetry in Action series, Kenyon Review, and the LA Review of Books, among other places. ＂Roommate, Woman,＂ his translation of a poem by Lee Young-ju was among the winners of the inaugural Words Without Borders Poems-in-Translation contest.
