Introduction to the Research and the Researchers

This chapter lays the backdrop for the current research.

The chapter is divided into three sections. The first section deliberates on why and how the research

was conceptualized. The second section briefly deliberates on why the methodology of the research

was influenced by the cooperative inquiry [CI] approach and outlines why the current research

was a ’Feminist Cooperative Inquiry’ [Methodology is elaborately discussed in the third chapter].

The third section deliberates on the selection of research participants [co-researchers in this

research] and their profiles and highlights the significance of the diversity amongst the coresearchers.
