A high-stakes caper about a young man trying to outrun his past and stake a claim for his future through a dangerous heist
Paul has always been a bit of an outsider. As an Irish child living in England, he didn’t fit in with his peers, but he didn’t fit in with his family, either. Now in his twenties, about to graduate from university, he’s not sure what to do with a few useless degrees and a girlfriend whose drug habits are quickly becoming a problem. So when a mysterious man from Belfast offers him what seems like an easy job watching a building in exchange for quite a lot of cash, Paul takes the opportunity. But the job quickly spirals out of control, and Paul runs afoul of a very dangerous figure in the criminal underworld. Paul is nothing if not clever, though, and, along with a close-knit crew of Irish Travelers, he comes up with a plan to get himself out of trouble and to take down the drug lord all at once. It doesn’t take long for the perfect plan to go sideways, and Paul finds himself facing dangerous choices, with the lives of those he loves hanging in the balance.
