Evocative and escapist animations from an artist known for her use of optical illusions
French artist Christine Rebet (born 1971) makes simple animations by assembling ink drawings into what she calls a ＂paper cinema.＂ This volume collects six of her recent films in which personal and collective traumas are reinterpreted, creating fantasy worlds that merge history with fiction.
