In Cv/VAR series no.10, Anatomy of the Body, 112 panel paintings made in 2001 and 2013 by N.P.James ROI constructed a metaphor for the human physical system. A viscous surface of pulped and washed colour interprets the intricate framework of muscles, arteries, bone and soft tissue, all infused with an internal dynamic of potent nervous energy. The volume carries colour reproductions of the artworks with descriptions of the location and function of portrayed parts.
