今年是古倫美亞發行，純純（劉清香）演唱的《望春風》唱片出版八十週年，我們特別選擇以鄧雨賢所作曲的作品為主發行演奏專輯，首先挑選了鄧雨賢十三首歌曲依照當時出版唱片的錄音加以採譜，再邀請作曲家加以改編，除了具有歷史的關照，也賦予這些歌曲時代的新聲。我們根著臺灣，胸懷世界，因此選擇這樣的時機與作品作為起點，接續前人的努力與成果，也期盼傳承這樣的薪火，為臺灣的音樂文化盡一點心力。

2013 marks the 80th anniversary of the “Longing for the Spring Breeze” album released by Sun-sun (Liu Ching-hsiang). We have selected 13 songs composed by Teng Yu-hsien for the release of this performance album. These 13 tracks were sampled from the original release and then rearranged by modern composers. We hope to inherit the past while providing a new voice for these ageless songs. We deeply hold Taiwan in mind and adopt international perspective, and that’s why we determine to work on this album at this moment as a start. We are looking forwards to inheriting the tradition through this process and further passing the treasure down for the future generations to do our part for the music culture of Taiwan.
