Brian Fraser could possibly be the nicest person you could ever meet, over the course of a lifetime. He makes verbal & eye contact, even when just holding the door for a stranger, to show respect and bring happiness. He bears no grudges and says no one has the ability to make him feel badly; the way he feels is his responsibility. He was raised Catholic, but would not be described as religious. Deeply spiritual, he is yet neither Buddhist, Taoist, Sufi, Hindu or Muslim. He simply bears the message of humanitarianism and peace. He also is a long-time member of substance-abuse support programs, and has achieved tranquility through much inner work, acceptance, honesty, forgiveness, love, and meditation. His favorite word is "peace." Yet despite his modus operandi, he profoundly suffers from bi-polar disorder, an illness which has seen him hospitalized several times. He sometimes flails about, searching for security, without a sense of purpose. He can experience dazzling highs and terrifying lows. Yet he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. When you read his poetry, you might be impressed by its clarity, depth and complexity. As Brian examines his mind through the written word, he shines a light into the deepest recesses of the reader's soul. Read Brian K. Fraser's poetry--you will feel grateful for gaining entry into his guileless world where vulnerability, honesty and kindness reside, and at once, feel like you have come home, as a member in the family of all of us who are experiencing this thing called Life.
