THis book is intended to follow the L1 book. Much of the vocabulary and many of the sentence patterns first appear in the book with greater explanation. If you haven't yet studied that book, I recommend that you sutdy it before approaching this book. This will give you a better foundation for beginning this book. I also suggest that my book of elementary idioms and phrasal verbs is an excellent companion to this book;you will notice that those hprasal verbs and idioms often appear in this book. Phrasal verbs are an important factor of spoken English; all students should gain greater familiarity with them.
