清代漆器生產的重要特徵是地域特色日益明顯。清代時間,漆器的民營手工業取代了明代時間官辦手工業的生產方式,各地的民間漆藝作坊,在長期的生產實踐中,逐漸形成了具有鮮明地方特色的漆藝門類,如蘇州的雕漆、揚州的漆鑲嵌、福州的脫胎漆和仿洋漆,潮州、浦田、青田的木雕金漆、貴州的皮胎漆、山西和陝西的款彩漆等等,品類眾多、異彩紛呈,呈現出百花齊放的嶄新局面。
故宮博物院珍藏萬餘件清代漆器,多是宮廷用器,手工精良,代表了清代漆工藝的最高水平。本卷從中遴選出 196 件(套)精品,以工藝和時代為序臚陳於讀者面前,以期全面反映清代漆工藝的主要成就。
Most of the lacquerwares included here were produced in the Qing palace. Some of them were executed by eminent masters. They were produced in a style typical of the court flavour and excecuted by eminent masters. They were produced in the dynasties of Yuan, Ming and Qing (1271-1911)
