本卷所收文物雖然清宮舊藏的極少,但收進文物頗具代表性,精品較多,不僅彌補清宮舊藏之不足,更能系統地反映晉唐時期瓷器發展的概貌。由於五代瓷器與唐瓷關係密切,故併入此卷。唐三彩雖屬陶器,但它是唐代陶瓷的重要組成部分,因此也選入本卷。
The Jin and the Tang as whole was an important period in the development of porcelain art in China. Collections in the Museum represent the state of the art in that period. The items catalogued include a celadon jar inscribed with characters meaning "grainary", dated the 3rd year (260) under Yongan's Reign of the Kingdom of Wu, and a celadon zum (jar) with lotus patterns some facing upward and some downward.
