刊出的宋代官窰瓷器數量之多、質量之精，是一般圖錄無法比擬的；而民窰瓷器窰別之多、品種之全，也是前所未見的。上卷收錄宋代北方官窰共31件，民窰共231件，八成以上是初次發表。包括汝、鈞、定、耀州、臨汝、磁州等名窰精品，更有遼、金、西夏等北方外族風格的瓷器。
