創燒於康熙末年的琺瑯彩和粉彩,是清初盛世最具有鮮明特色的釉上彩瓷器,既繼承了中國傳統的型制裝飾,又採納了不少外來的元素。粉彩淡雅宜人的風韻,琺瑯彩凝厚濃豔的格調,以及製造工藝的奇巧精練,都標誌著清代彩瓷登峰造極的藝術境界。
《琺瑯彩‧粉彩》收錄逾600件瓷器,其中康熙至乾隆琺瑯彩瓷器共40件,康熙至宣統粉彩瓷器234件,未發表的約佔58%。康、雍、乾三朝的精品共163件,佔全書逾60%以上,嘉慶以後的各代清宮藏品也一併選入,使讀者對清代粉瓷的發展全貌有概括的了解。
