美國舊金山東灣牡丹詩社於2004年由劉惠如、喻麗清、徐敏子三位文化義工發起成立，是一個鬆散的非牟利機構，每年4、5月閒舉辦一次牡丹詩會，為灣區詩歌愛好者提供一個交流平臺，是迄今爲止灣區唯一的同類文化活動。在過去的七屆詩會中，共有85位詩友提交了189件作品，先後以牡丹、春天、希望、人間情、回憶、往事為主題的歷屆詩會，引發詩友們熾熱的詩情詩意，如今詩會已成為灣區文化活動的一部分，深受社區歡迎。
The East Bay Peony Poetry Society was established in 2004 by three volunteers Hue Liu, Eileen Tang and Monica Xu as a non-profit organization. The Peony Poetry Society presents Peony Poetry Festival in April or May of each year since its establishment, in providing an exchange platform for all poetry lovers. It is believed that the festival is by far the only similar cultural event in the Bay Area Chinese community, and became a very popular cultural activity in the community.
