馬里蘭州的北京烤鴨店，是當地知名的中餐廳，曾經招待過數任總統與名人們，還有無數的老顧客。韓家老爹過世後，由兄弟倆接手。大哥Johnny善於管理，一心一意只想好好守住父親創立的老招牌；弟弟Jimmy卻野心勃勃地想要將父親一手打造的中菜館改造成新穎的融合餐廳，為了錢，不得不與華裔黑幫大老交易。
老員工阿傑與阿南在店裡工作30年了，被其他年輕員工嫌棄，兩人邊工作邊調情，友誼中有曖昧，彼此商量是不是該退休做點什麼不一樣的事，但是阿傑不知該如何跟妻子開口，而阿南老是搞不定他那總是闖禍的兒子Pat。
Pat因為行為不檢被學校退學，只能窩在烤鴨店洗碗，與父親Johnny關係冷到冰點的女兒Annie對餐廳漠不關心，少男少女因為無聊也因為精力充沛，玩起了”危險”的遊戲。在大紅燈籠之下，除了餐廳的成員，還有一群無關的親戚與黑道大哥把烤鴨店搞得熱鬧非凡，但是一場大火卻讓他們開始做出抉擇…。
