本練習的目標是給小小童從有趣繪圖運筆練習開始學習運筆及認識字母。因此，老師或家長先讓小小童練習握筆、運筆，並確認小小童在畫圖中養成從左上到右下的先後順序。

前幾個單元主要是手眼協調活動，讓小朋友習慣把鉛筆抓好後，並在紙上移動。移動的過程中，每個動作都代表了每個英文字母的主要元素。我們設計了許多有趣的單元讓小小童的發揮無限想像力，愉快的完成每個單元，並將英文字母記憶在小腦袋瓜裡，學習英文字母就像塗鴉一樣簡單。

POP aims to give young learners the ideal start to writing. Therefore teachers need to focus on how the students hold their pencils and always make sure that they are working from the top down and from left to right.

POP begins with simple hand eye coordination exercises to allow the very young to adapt to holding a pencil and moving it on a page. From there it moves through to the recognition and recall of the English alphabet.
