It’s a race...It’s a chase... It’s a spectacular puzzle game!

The main game arises from the hunt for the hidden gold of Gull Island. Five pirate captains find the secret of the treasure’s location when they stumble on a map and co-ordinates. Each captain tells the secret reference to his or her first mate, each of whom then sets off to locate it before the other captains’ crews.

The race becomes a relay as each searching crewmember meets a colleague and passes on the secret to a fresher pair of legs. The aim of the game is to discover which crew finds the treasure.

As well as the main game, there are 12 individual puzzles to solve which also lead the reader around the whole book, plus a spotting game, with over thirty real-life pirates hidden throughout the book for the reader to seek-and-find.
