第三冊課本介紹五個分離母音組：a-e, e-e, i-e, o-e, u-e，五個母音加Rr的唸法：ar, er, ir, or, ur，及三個子音c, g, y的子音的特殊發音。完成此階段孩子的拼讀字數累積到1260字，練習本則加強孩子聽音、辨音練習。孩子不斷練習聽音、辨識易混淆的音；每個階段的練習內容都以螺旋式設計，複習已學過的音同時練習新的內容。複習複合式子音、辨識發音相近音組、重組單字，聽音寫字、完成句子，反覆檢視孩子的拼讀能力及讀句能力。

林素娥, 謝靜惠
林素娥教授為前台大外文系教授，專攻英文閱讀及寫作，對引導孩子學習英語閱讀有很高的熱誠；曾為書林出版公司撰寫台灣第一套兒童英語主教材：輕鬆學美語；林教授也是龍騰圖書撰寫高中及高職英語教材的重要作者。作者謝靜惠為資深英語教師，併具備豐富的英語教材編寫經驗，兩位作者即為Phonics Kids幼兒英語拼讀系列的原作者，結合完整理論與教學實務，編撰出適合非英語系國家孩童，學習英語拼讀的最佳寶典。
